Cosmogony

Rooted in the laws of physics and the structures of nature, the Cosmogony series reflects a four year-long engagement with scientific inquiry. These oil paintings express my personal philosophy that seeks to understand reality through reason, in a world surrounded by religious beliefs and iconography.

Cosmogony is the branch of science or astrophysics, or a body of mythological and philosophical thought that explores the origin and evolution of the universe and its solar systems.

This series was developed around the year 2013 and was part of my first and second solo shows at Imbold Gallery in Bucharest. I added some new additions later on.
